AGENT RELATIONS SPECIALIST – (DAL)

The Agent Relations Specialist will support Daylight Transport agent operations leadership with daily reporting, trend analysis, and all administrative type of support required to sustain optimum agent performance levels.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for daily service reporting and accurate assignment of root cause failure at the probill level.
  • Agent scorecard development and accurate maintenance that allows agent leadership the consistent opportunity to hold quality monthly performance reviews.
  • Daily and on-going agent performance trend analysis designed to proactively address and recognize positive performance trends.
  • Quarterly claims review with all agents.
  • Will ultimately cover Agent C/S opportunities when C/S dept. has exhausted all avenues.
  • Responsible for the correct, and consistent flow of Agent documents, (DR’s, ULR’s, CBOL’s, and BOL’s) into imaging.
  • Initiate Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) documents in support to on-board a new Agent or revisions to a current Agents.
  • Maintain SOP for on-boarding throughout the process and schedules meetings/calls in association with the process.
  • Set-up monthly Agent review calendar; participate on calls, and enter notes into Sales Force.
  • Maintain zip code DEST TERM files for each Agent, file and request revisions annually or as needed.
  • Create and maintain a calendar of contracts initiation dates, appendix approvals and renewals.
  • Review daily missed PU reports and follow up as needed.
  • Review and follow-up as needed on cross-pollinated shipments.

Experience/Skills:

  • Highly proficient with desktop applications such as MS Office (Excel, Visio, Project, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration preferred.
  • Ability to work with a diverse group of people in a collegial, team framework.
  • Excellent communication, written, oral and interpersonal skills.
  • Superior problem solving and analytical skills (both quantitative and qualitative).

W&I ANALYST – (ONT Service Center)

Primary focus of position is to determine correct classifications and weights of suspect shipments and issue corrected billing to ensure proper charges.

Responsibilities:

  • Search for shipments with weight and/or description discrepancies; make appropriate corrections and enter corrections in computer
  • Perform density studies
  • Handle agent changes
  • Track corrections
  • Prepare spreadsheets and perform other administrative duties

Requirements:

  • College degree preferred, but not required
  • One to three years’ experience in freight operations required
  • Knowledge of NMFC classifications and application of same
  • Must possess strong analytical skills and ability to think quickly
  • Working knowledge of MS Word and Excel required

We currently have an opportunity in our Fontana Service Center. Our fast-paced Line Haul department is currently seeking an energetic Operations Clerk for the swing shift (Sundays thru Thursdays from 6:00pm to 2:30am).
The primary focus of this position is to track, communicate, coordinate and update needed information to ensure loads are arriving timely.

BILLING SPECIALIST – Swing Shift

Our busy Billing Dept., located at our corporate office in Long Beach, CA, currently has a great opportunity for a Billing Specialist, preferably with freight industry experience. This is a swing shift position, M-F 3:00pm-11:30pm. The primary focus of this position is freight bill data entry, using the NMFC guide and customer tariffs to classify and rate bills. The main source for bill entry is the customer’s bill of lading.

Additional responsibilities include auditing freight bills for accuracy, freight bill recording for accurate vendor payment, and contacting internal and external customers to verify questionable or unclear information provided on the bill of lading.

Our ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of transportation industry experience. Outstanding data entry skills required. Must be able to work overtime when required. Ability to approach workload in a proactive manner. Knowledge of MS Office applications, including Word, Excel and Outlook.

FLEET MANAGER – ONT

The Fleet Manager will take over a fully functional and successful owner operator fleet, lead further recruiting efforts, and manage the company’s rolling stock and maintenance program. In addition, the Fleet Manager will work directly with the Department Manager and Linehaul Operations Manager who currently oversee a staff of two Supervisors, six load planners, and nine hourly administrative support personnel to ensure the company’s owner operator fleet is melded seamlessly into the daily operation.

Responsibilities:

  • Effectively oversee annual Fleet budget in excess of $5MM.
  • Oversee and direct daily linehaul operations to ensure balance between on-time service product and company transportation expenses.

As a Line Haul Operations Scheduler, your primary responsibilities will include coordinating line haul and load planning with agents and line haul carriers. Our ideal candidate will have at least 3 years’ experience in dispatching and/or dock operations. The primary focus of this position is to track and resolve agent OS&D/On-hand situations and to investigate and report on shipments that may result in claims.

Responsibilities:
