Job Title: Dockworker – Part Time
Pay: From $25.00 per hour

Hours : Start time will be at 12am(midnight) each day. Monday will be a 8 hour shift, and each day will be between 4-6 hours of work with each Wednesday off.
SUMMARY:
Daylight is currently looking for a Dockworker to join our Family. Our Dockworkers successfully load and unload freight throughout the shift using a forklift or manually in a safe, efficient manner. Will perform work associated with warehousing and other related duties as assigned. Would have flexible scheduling availability to include first shift, evening shift, weekend, and some holidays. Dockworkers are critical members of the Daylight Transport Family; they help to accurately deliver our customer’s freight and help us be the fastest long-haul LTL in the industry.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Load and unload freight on trailers using a motorized forklift, pallet jack or manually in compliance with state and federal DOT guidelines. Use various loading techniques, such as loading tight or cross loading.
- Transport self and/or freight continuously throughout the service center in a forklift on non-forgiving surfaces.
- Utilize Dock Yard Management System to consistently monitor freight shipment locations throughout the service center.
- Read and interpret shipping labels. Familiarity with, and in some cases ability to complete the various forms utilized in freight movement such as shipping orders, city stripping manifests, freight bills, overage/damage movement reports and exception forms.
- Hand load, rewrap or stack freight as necessary.
- Secure freight inside trailers using appropriate tools and supplies (e.g. pallets, straps, rope).
- Frequent contact with service center personnel; fast-pace and deadline oriented.

Job Title: Maintenance Coordinator

SUMMARY The Maintenance Coordinator will ensure that the maintenance requirements for all rolling assets are met. The individual will be responsible for coordinating asset traffic between Service Centers to ensure each asset is properly positioned for maintenance. Additionally, the Maintenance Coordinator will also be responsible for managing maintenance costs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES-
- Tracks and ensures assets are compliant on both State and Federal Department of Transportation maintenance regulations.
- Closely coordinate and oversee maintenance and performance of asset in multiple locations nationwide
- Ensures that proper preventative maintenance is conducted on all assets in a timely manner to maximize utilization.
- Ensures that proper breakdown maintenance is conducted on all assets in a timely manner and of the highest standard of quality.
- Minimizes asset maintenance rework.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. Prior experience preferred. Must be able to drive a forklift.
LANGUAGE SKILLS Good command of the English language a must. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s.
REASONING ABILITY Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Must be forklift certified and have successfully completed the Daylight Transport Dock Training Program.
