SUMMARY: Daylight Transport is seeking an Account Executive to join our team. Our Account Executives are responsible for meeting revenue and profit goals in their given geography. The Account Executive should be responsive to the customer, ensuring expectations are met and exceeded. SUMMARY: The primary focus of the W&I Analyst position is to determine correct classifications and weights of suspect shipments and issue corrected billing to ensure proper charges. SUMMARY: The primary focus of this position is to track, communicate, coordinate and update needed information to ensure loads are arriving timely.

Our busy Billing Dept., located at our corporate office in Long Beach, CA, currently has a great opportunity for a Billing Specialist, preferably with freight industry experience. This is a swing shift position, M-F 3:00pm-11:30pm. The primary focus of this position is freight bill data entry, using the NMFC guide and customer tariffs to classify and rate bills. The main source for bill entry is the customer’s bill of lading.

Additional responsibilities include auditing freight bills for accuracy, freight bill recording for accurate vendor payment, and contacting internal and external customers to verify questionable or unclear information provided on the bill of lading.

Our ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of transportation industry experience. Outstanding data entry skills required. Must be able to work overtime when required. Ability to approach workload in a proactive manner. Knowledge of MS Office applications, including Word, Excel and Outlook.

TRANSPORTATION OWNER/OPERATORS- LOS ANGELES, CA

Daylight Transport is seeking Owner/Operators for local city pick-up and delivery at their Los Angeles Terminal. At Daylight Transport we focus on medium and long haul traffic. Our two-man sleeper team direct services can have the largest positive impact on our customer’s bottom line.

Responsibilities:

  • Pre-tripping forklifts
  • Pre-loading and posting unloading trailer inspections
  • Safely unloading freight from trailers either using a forklift or manually
  • Safely loading freight into trailers either using a forklift or manually
  • Ensuring that freight moved matches all aspects of the associated movement bill or cross dock
  • Complying with all aspects of dock paperwork procedures while moving freight
  • Ensuring that the dock and associated areas are kept clean
  • Maintaining a clean and orderly work area and safe environment

Requirements:

  • Proven safety record
  • Minimum two year’s tractor trailer/bobtail experience
  • Hazmat Endorsement
  • Own or have the capability of purchasing your own equipment
  • Pass background check, drug and alcohol test
  • Meet all DOT requirements
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Record with valid Driver License
  • Felonies are determined on a case by case basis
  • Must be able to lift, load and unload 50lbs or more
